Rafting and Camping Idaho

Rafting the Middle Fork Salmon River Idaho

Rafting and Camping along the Salmon River, Idaho is mind blowing. The views, nature, petroglyphs and especially the water are sublime. We are talking about the pristine Middle Fork of the Salmon River. It meanders through the Frank Church – River of No Return Wilderness Area. An place with no cell towers, power lines or anything run by them. You are in a different, wonderful world.

On Our Way Rafting

My husband and I flew from Chicago, through Salt Lake City then onto Boise, ID. After spending a night and enjoying their downtown dining and shopping area we took off to start our trip rafting and camping Idaho. Our trip was 6 days and 7 nights, rafting and camping along the river. We had a group of 14 plus 5 raft leaders and 3 that handled cooking and our luggage. OK, maybe a little more glamping.

Living the Life While Camping

Every morning they made our breakfast, packed our stuff and took off down the river. An hour or so later we would leave with the river guides for a day of hot springs, hiking and a lot of rafting. We’d stop for lunch, made by the guides. All while our things kept heading downriver to be set up and ready for late afternoon cocktail hour.

Loving Our Life Rafting and Camping

We took this well planned and guided trip with MT Sobek. They do all types of active trips of all physical levels, all over the world. Top notch! We had a great time! We were well taken care of; the food was awesome and the guides knew there stuff. Made a lot of friends and the best part… totally disconnected from your phones.
